This weekend we made a major double score! First, we headed to New Albany, IN for the last day of the Preston Arts Center closing sale. Everything was 40% off! There wasn't much left since the sale had been going on for days, but we found some great fabric remnants, a paint brush, a fabulous old wooden farm-type table ($10---it's in rough shape, but ten dollars!! Wow!), and, the ultimate find---three entire sets of vintage lettering.
That is, six cute red boxes of Chartpak dry transfer letters; two wire racks of Formatt sticker-type letters and patterns; and one wire stand of large individually packaged Cello-Tak dry transfer sheets. I can't wait to use these! I will also be selling some of them---I want to share the wealth of old school awesomeness!
On our way home, we were amazed to see a neon "OPEN" sign in the window of Dreamlight Antiques, a place we've been wanting to go, but which never seemed to be open! What a gorgeous store---and we found an incredible adjustable floor lamp with a hinge arm and HUGE shade.
We brought this home as my birthday gift! Yay! It will be perfect for when I need lots of direct light.. which is pretty much always!
